As usual Tech Travel week is once again bringing you the latest and greatest in tech travel news, this week has been another big one. While many of the attractions listed this week are things you actually can not go, we feel they still fall right into the category of tech travel tourism. Confused? That’s ok read on and all will be revealed.
The first item is a bit of sad news for Trekkie travelers, the Star Trek Mecca “Star Treck Experience” in Las Vegas has closed. The museum/rides was housed in the Hilton hotel, but the company was looking at bringing a more profitable attraction in for some time now. They must have found something new to go in there because the Star Trek attraction is out the streets looking for a new location. Source
Next up is some serious American ingenuity, although you can not necessarily visit these sites as a tourists these locations represent the future. Technology progressing in front of your eyes, now that is something to take note of in your tech travels.
The U.S.’s largest solar plant is located in sunny Nevada. Created by Solar One ACCIONA’s plant produces enough energy to power over 14,000 homes annually.
Next up is Space Port America, picture an airport, but instead of catching a flight to some other world city you take a trip to space. This is the concept that is being put into reality Las Cruces, New Mexio. Home to Virgin Galactic and a number of other small space tourism companies the project is poised to make New Mexico the world’s hub for space tourism.
After talking about Space travel, regular old ground transportation may sound a little boring. However, one company that’s developing some new train technology could revolutionize train travel in the United States. American Maglev is pushing magnetic levitation tech for use in urban transportation systems. They claim their methods are much cheaper then traditional Maglev trains. They are currently constructing a test track in Georgia, United States.

I like to travel to Las Vegas at least once a year, a few of my friends who have never been there before always ask me why I love going so much. I always tell them the same thing, you have to go there to truly understand how great Las Vegas is. None of the TV shows, Movies, or advertisements you see will do this city justice. Vegas has something for everyone, a major common misconception is that its only for people who like gambling, this is not true at all. Although I might play a few slots when I am there, I rarely spend more then a half hour of my time gambling on my Vegas vacations, there are a ton of other great attractions available. For me the best part of Las Vegas are the shows, there are always so many great shows happening, the best 20 shows in the world will always be playing somewhere is Las Vegas. If you have never been, do you self a favor and just go!

Lets face it, sometimes buying adult diapers can be a little bit embarrassing. A friend of mine started ordering adult diapers and other personal medical supplies online. My friend did not do it out of embarrassment, they are much less easily embarrassed then myself, they did it for the convenience it provided. They never again had to remember to pick them up, they would simple arrive at the door whenever he needed more. I had never though about the convenience factor, but between that and not having to buy them myself I decided to give it a shot. I set up my order for adult diapers with Disposable Medical Express. I have been using them for a little over half a year now the results have been excellent. They always deliver on time and their prices can’t be beat.

Regular readers of this blog will know its no secret that I love the brand Asics, especially the Onitsuka Tiger brand. That’s why I was especially pleased when I came across this post on Gizmodo showcasing the worlds largest Lite Brite Display (Guinness Records Certified). The Lite Brite is made up of over 300,000 pieces and measures 11×15 feet and is being displayed in New York, NY. This is definitely one of the coolest promotions I have seen in awhile.

I have been using this great new diet pill lately, a friend recommended it to me and a month ago I started using it. The name of the pill is alli, I was at first very hesitant to try it out, but when I found it that it is prescription free and approved by the FDA I had nothing to worry about. With the safety of the pill insured I began a trial of it to see how it would affect my weight. In only one month I have lost twenty pounds, its unbelievable how well the pill has worked. I did not make any major changes to my diet or daily routine, I just started taking Alli and the pounds started coming off. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to lose some weight in time for the holidays.

Earlier this year my wife and I decided we were finally ready to get our own place. Deciding to buy a house was a difficult decision and it took a lot of courage. Luckily we had a lot of help from one of our friends who had recently bought a house. He recommended checking out Move Me Dot Come, a website specializing free mortgage quotes. I was a little apprehensive to search for mortgage quotes online but after some research I discovered that I could find much better rates online then my local banks were offering.
I recommend using three criteria to when looking for mortgage quotes online. The first is the site must be trustworthy, either know someone who has used it or do some research into its reputation. I knew I could trust Move Me not only because my friend had success with them, but also because it had won the Yahoo! Peoples Choice Award. The second criteria is the website must be easy to use, Move Me was incredibly simple to use and I had no difficulty finding the mortgage quotes I needed. Move me has also one awards for its usability and functionality, such as the Yahoo Innovation Award. The third criteria, the site must provide excellent mortgage rates, and again I was amazed by the great rates Move Me was offering on mortgages.
I could not believe how much easier it was to get a mortgage quotes online. I must have saved dozens of hours, not having to book appointments at the banks was so relaxing. Finding a mortgage quote online not only saves time, but it allows you to get more quotes then you normally would, more options can save you a huge amount of money.
My wife and I decided to go with removal quotes which provided us with excellent rates from local removal companies. After we found our dream home we had a great mortgage to go with it within a week. Move Me saved us time and money and got us our dream home fast!

I recently became an uncle! To get out on the right footing with my new nephew I decided to buy him a nice present. I had in mind some sort of army men toy or maybe some cars, however, after talking to his mother I realized he will be much too young for those kind of toys for years to come. She recommended a much more sensible gift that will work for her and my nephew much better. She really needed a stroller and I hoped on the net to find the best baby stroller I could. I took my job very seriously and after comparing what must have been thirty strollers I found the perfect one. The Bugaboo stroller was the best I found, its much more advanced then regular strollers and it comes in at a decent price as well. The strollers unique design allows you to detach parts of the stroller, you can even turn it into a little baby basket. Its the cutest thing ever my nephew and his mum simply love it!

I recently became a car owner and came face to face with the shocking reality that the cost of the car is only the beginning. After you buy the car, if you are looking enough to buy one outright you are still faced with a mountain of expenses such as gas, repairs, and of course car insurance. Car insurance can be extremely expensive or fairly reasonable depending on how well you comparison shop for quotes. The best way to get auto insurance quotes is online. On the web you can simply type in your cars info and with the click of a mouse receive dozens of quotes. It takes the hassle out of comparing auto insurance quotes and helps you find the best price possible. Before you get on the highway try the information super highway for auto insurance.
