Lost Time Loop Theory

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

The Lost Time Loop Theory is one of the few fan created Lost theories that I have actually read all the way through. It sounds like the creator of the theory spend a incredibly large amount of time thinking about their theory. On top of that the theory actually seems to make sense with the events in the show. It pretty much answer most questions about events that have happened in the show with its unified theory.

In a nutshell the time loop theory has the Lost island stuck in a time loop in 1996, the time loop was reset every 108 minutes by pushing a button which activated a Dharma time machine. The outside world continued on while the time loop kept the island time the same until the time loop was stopped when the time machine was destroyed.

The Lost theory’s website does a much better job of explaining it then I do, so if your a big lost fan check it out.

Earth Is Open For Business

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Finally, rather then boring aliens with crude drawings of ourselves and sounds of whales a company is stepping up and doing the most logical thing to contact intelligent life from other planets. Doritos has announced their plans to broadcast a chip commercial into deep space. Although television shows, songs, and messages from earth have been broad casted into space before, Doritos will be the first company to intentionally send an advertisement into space.
Although some people are horrified that our first message to another species may be advertising a spicy tortia chip to me it sounds like a logical idea. If someone calls me and says, come over here and look at me, please! Chances are I am going to think they are insane or desperate for attention. However, if someone calls me up and offers me something I would like to purchase perhaps I will follow up on the message. I think provided whatever species is gets the transmission, if any, has a love for snack foods they will no doubt send someone out to sample the Doritos. So start stockpiling today, become an intergalactic merchant tomorrow.

My Big Fat Redneck Wedding

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

I was channel surfing this weekend when I stumbled upon some comedic gold, I don’t normally watch the country music channel but they had a show on called My Big Fat Redneck Wedding. The show follows the planning and completion of a redneck wedding

.

Some episodes are better then others, but the colorful characters at times make the show one of the funniest I have ever seen. The episodes run a half hour and the channel usually has two back to back. Its not most peoples idea of a perfect wedding but it seems to fit the people appearing on the show.
