Regular readers of this blog will know its no secret that I love the brand Asics, especially the Onitsuka Tiger brand. That’s why I was especially pleased when I came across this post on Gizmodo showcasing the worlds largest Lite Brite Display (Guinness Records Certified). The Lite Brite is made up of over 300,000 pieces and measures 11×15 feet and is being displayed in New York, NY. This is definitely one of the coolest promotions I have seen in awhile.

Swedish vodka manufacture Absolut Vodka has released a new advertisement in Mexico that has some people North of the border feeling a little agitated. Mexican have a good knowledge of their history and patriotic feelings about the Mexican American war and land sales that saw the country lose control of California, Colorado, and Arizona, as well as Texas which defected to the United States. The ad shows what Mexico would look like in an Absolut world. Naturally the Americans who see the ad are more then a little offended. The number of offended continues to rise with the LA times publishing the advertisement on their website. Its certainly a big risk on Absolut’s part, and although it seems to have paid off in Meixco only time will tell on whether or not the ad receives much exposure in the United States, something that would surely damage the companies sales.

Hecktor is a portable graffiti robot that can fit in a small suitcase. When connected to a laptop to small motors spray the selected design onto the canvas. This is a great tool for anyone who has ever wanted to do some graffiti but was a terrible artist, its now possible to have Hektor lend you a hand. The whole project is open source so you can download your very own source code and instructions from the Hektor Project Website. Its swiss made, so if its half as good for as the watches and knives you will be tagging in no time.
