Tech Travel Week Roundup #26

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

This weeks theme with one notable exception is tropical islands…fake tropical islands that is. Man made islands anchored in Dubai or man made islands floating around the world, even made man islands in blimp hangers. Weird? You bet, tomorrows hottest travel destination? Maybe.

1) Tropical Islands is a theme park in Germany. Built in a massive former blimp hanger the waterpark style resort recreates a tropical atmosphere complete with tropical beaches, waters and vegitation. You can even camp out overnight in the park. [Source]

2) While on the topic of blimps, the current owner of a blimp company offering sight seeing tours of San Fransisco is one of the former directors of the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, California. [Source]

3) Back to islands, a British architecture firm has planned an artifical ice board for Dubai. [Source]

4) If there take on the man made island does not do it for you maybe on of these 15 floating islands will. [Source]

5) And last but not least Wireds 100 geeky places to take your kids this summer. [Source]

Increase Your Online Storage Space

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

I never seem to have enough room on my computer or my e-mail account to store all the information I need to. I often receive photos and videos online, some of them are rather large and the storage capacity of my computers runs out very quickly. I tried buying external hard drives, but those too filled up quickly. I needed an online storage solution that would be cost effective and scalable. One of my co-workers recommended a site called My Other Drive, which offers online back up and sharing. It was the perfect solution to my storage problem. I now have as much online storage as I want and it is much cheaper then storing my information on both internal and external hard drives, as an added bonus it is easier to share and access. I would recommend this for anyone needing more storage capacity.

Find The Best Acne Treatments

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Suffering from acne deals a difficult blow to ones self esteem. No one wants acne but it can be very difficult to find effective and affordable acne treatment for your skin. I went through several years of trial and errorr treatments trying to discover what treatment would work for me and then find it at a price I could afford.

One of my friends recomended the website Get Acne Treatments. The site offers unbaised reviews of the top selling acme medications and also lists their price. Instead of risking your money on a potentially ineffective product you can just read the review and find out if the treatment works before you pay. It has saved me hundred of dollars and enabled me to find an effective acne treatment for my skin.

Hot LED Tail Lights

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

I recently purchased and installed some brand new led tail lights on my car. They look amazing! Everywhere I go I keep getting compliments on my card look. I have been amazed by how such a seemingly small detail on the car can end up catching so many eyes. My friends are envious, and the ladies love them. When anyone asks I tell them that the led tail lights were very expensive and difficult to install, but I just say that cause I don’t want anyone else stealing the show. In reality I got a huge deal on the tail lights and they were super easy to install. I bought my tail lights from Car iD which has a huge selection of Euro and led tail lights. It was hard to pick out of so many options, but it enabled me to find the perfect style for my car. Making the purchase was easy and the tail lights arrived quickly. If your in the market for some eye catching additions to your card I whole heatedly recommend them.

External Hard Drives

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Lately my computers memory has been getting very full. I have tens of thousands of pictures and thousands of videos from various vacations. The computer is only a few years old so I did not want to replace it and I did not want to go to the trouble of installing a new hard drive. One of my friends had recently bought an external hard drive and recommended it for my situation.

I was not too impressed with the prices at my local electronics store so I decided to take a look online. I found the perfect external hard drive for an excellent price at my new favorite site, Buy Dot Com. It not only had the best deal on external hard drives but other computer components as well. From now on much more of my shopping will be done here.
