Bluetooth To Utilize Wi-Fi for Faster Transfer Speeds
The Bluetooth Special Interests Group (SIG) has announced its plans to deliver a system that lets Bluetooth devices tap into wireless signals. The technology would allow much faster transfer speeds for large files, and since Wi-Fi is already built into many portable devices and computers Bluetooth devices will become much more useful.
Bluetooth is a great technology, I am not sure how I would get along these days without being able to do a wireless transfer of photos from my phone to my computer, and I would not like to have to go back to using head phones with cords. I once tried to transfer a video file from my computer to my cell phone but the transfer speed for large files in excruciatingly slow. This technology would make Bluetooth work with many additional devices and greatly expand the technologies possibilities.
