SpeakLike Instant Message Translation Software
I rad about an interesting new software that translates instant messaging conversations in real time. You type in your native language and SpeakLike will translate it into whatever language the person your speaking to uses and vise versa. I am not sure if it will work very well, I have not had a chance to try it out yet first hand. Its a great concept, all the software needs to do to be successful is work better then Bable Fish currently does.
The service claims to use cutting edge machine translation combined with human translation to provide real time translation. I don’t see how it can be real time with a human assisting in the translation, but maybe there translators are really fast. Each translated message will cost .10 cents so its not something you want to use casually while chatting with 12 people simultaneously like you did in high school.
